I was an interface designer on the team working on UFC 3, the third installment to the EA Sports UFC franchise. My main focus was on the UI and item design of the Ultimate Team game mode, with additional UI design work done for other modes and menus.

Fighter MANAGEMENT/Customization
The ability to own and customize fighter items is a core gameplay component of UFC 3 Ultimate Team. This screen was collaboratively designed with producers and engineers to deliver a hub in which players can easily get an overview of every aspect of their fighter and its customization options all in one place. For the Customize Fighter screen, I played with several layouts before pitching the design that put the item slots around the fighter akin to equipment screens in RPGs, as I felt that this approach was the most visually interesting yet familiar to players.

Aside from obtaining and customizing fighter items, Ultimate Team is also about collecting various items and using them to exchange for or craft better items. Below are some of the screens I designed for the collection and crafting aspects of UFC 3 Ultimate Team.

Since Ultimate Team is all about collecting items, the design of these items and the packs in which they're found must be both functional and visually interesting. Below are the templates that I've designed upon which all future Ultimate Team items and packs are based; the items follow the same clean and modern UI design language of UFC 3, while the packs are designed as more tangible and “weighty” objects but still having the clean UI aesthetic.
